Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Analyst (Job ID: 2022-2494)


Job Overview

The CGS HRIS Analyst will implement, manage, and maintain HR technology solution projects.  The incumbent will ensure technology solutions are aligned with business objectives and reflect current and emerging needs of the HR business and its internal customers.  This role will provide routine assistance in resolving HRIS application issues or problems, develop written user documentation guides and provide training to HRIS users. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Systems Management:

  • Leads implementation and configuration of HRIS software, and other HR-related digital technology projects.
  • Manages data integration and the mapping of employee data into and out of the HRIS software and/or the system of record.
  • Acts as a superuser to the organization for all HRIS software as well as the parts of the system of record that integrates with and supplements functionality not included in the HRIS software.
  • Develops technical subject matter expertise in both deployed and planned application modules to fully realize the benefits from the HRIS system capabilities. Understands interdependencies between finance, payroll or other departments and the human capital management modules with a focus on improved business processes.
  • Acts as an escalation point for end-users who are experiencing difficulties in using any HRIS software.
  • Implements and manages the HRIS software user security parameters, coordinates all user access with the system of record security manager; assigns, changes, and deletes user IDs and access in accordance with established parameters.
  • Coordinates company-wide HR systems initiatives, e.g. rollout of automated processes.
  • Researches and identifies the root causes for software or user input problems; fixes the problem, identifies other needed resources, or instructs user as needed; follows through to ensure satisfactory resolution of the problem in a timely manner.
  • Ensures accurate employee master data management in coordination with Digital Solutions.
  • Creates and implements HRIS related end-user documentation, provides end-user instruction and support to Corporate HR staff at all locations and to site personnel as needed.

Auditing:

  • Generates and maintains system audits and testing to ensure the integrity of all data accessed via the HRIS software and the proper operations of human resource information systems.

Reporting:

  • Creates and generates complex reports for functional disciplines of HR and others as directed.
  • Provides frequent and clear communications regarding the status of initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed of changes and work that is in progress.

Data Entry:

  • Loads, manipulates, audits, and reports on data contained in various HR systems, and make complex mass changes, minor changes, and conversions.
  • Maintains data in tables, translates, and maps data across systems, and reviews output for accuracy.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Human Resources, Computer Science, or another related field.
    • Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Three to Five (3 to 5) years of Human Resources experience exhibiting a broad understanding of HR processes and procedures.
  • At least two (2) years of previous experience in set-up, implementation, and application support of HRIS software, including self-service initiatives.
  • Work experience in developing HR-related reports and analyzing data.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, such as Excel, Word, Visio and other products.
  • Experience with data mapping and integration activities associated with connecting different software platforms.
