Bridge & Marine Structures Inspector
PND Engineers, Inc.
PND Engineers, Inc. is seeking a qualified and motivated Inspector to lead field inspection efforts for a wide range of bridge, culvert, and marine structures throughout Alaska. This role involves significant time in the field, often in remote and challenging environments. Our team provides condition assessment services and engineering evaluations for infrastructure assets managed by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private owners across Alaska. These assets may include bridges, docks, piers, wharves, culverts, and other hydraulic structures.
The successful candidate will conduct thorough condition assessments using both conventional and rope access methods. Level 1 or higher IRATA or SPRAT certification is strongly preferred due to the access requirements of many structures. Accurate, detailed reporting is essential, and strong technical writing skills are required to meet client and regulatory standards. Completion of the FHWA/NHI "Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges" training is required. A minimum of five years of relevant bridge inspection experience or a Professional Engineer is desired. Extensive travel and extended field deployments should be expected.
If you are an infrastructure inspection professional or are pursuing a career in infrastructure inspections, this is your opportunity to explore your future with PND Engineers. Interested applicants should submit a resume and a brief cover letter outlining their experience and certifications.
