Security Officer: Alyeska Corporate Headquarters


JOB SUMMARY

The Post area of responsibility is the Alyeska Corporate Headquarters at 3700 Centerpoint Drive (CPW). This position will support various security responsibilities and Alyeska events. Responsibilities include providing escorts for Alyeska employees, Contractors and Visitors to the parking lot/garage. This position will also conduct badging for TAPS access, manages key control, and supports a variety of tasks as requested by Corporate Security.

Schedule: Monday - Friday (50 hour workweek)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two (2) years’ experience (minimal) in an officer level position or above with a municipal, state or federal law enforcement agency, service in military police unit, combat arms MOS and or military service in a combat war zone. Experience in corrections or private security within the past five years will also meet qualification requirements.
  • One-year experience or education equivalent in office management and practices.
  • Experience and proficiency in general office duties including basic computer skills, filing, and copying.
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage access control badging systems.
  • Must have strong attention to detail skills.
  • Possesses or able to obtain a State of Alaska Unarmed Security Officer license.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain OC Certification
  • Must be willing and able to wear a business suit with coat at all times.
  • Able to proficiently speak, read, understand and write English.
  • Must be able to pass the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation and post-offer physical/fitness for duty evaluation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for access control, visitor management, safety program support and documentation of security incidents.
  • Serve as the Anchorage Badging Officer for TAPS
  • Responsible for administrative support of security operations and key control.
  • Utilize clear and professional communication skills while providing information, mediating disputes and investigating incidents.
  • Maintain informational security and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
  • Ability to perform other duties as required.
  • Ability to work at various locations as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

The employee’s work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items. Applicant will be required to successfully complete a post-offer pre-hire physical and functional capacity evaluation (if applicable).
