WORK HOURS: 7.5 hrs/day
DUTIES: Responsible for program planning, administration, development, expansion, implementation and oversight of APIA’s Healthy Relationships Team. Provides oversight of grant monitoring and reporting. Oversees the day-to-day operations of projects focused on advocacy for victims to include: implementation of a health and wellness project, monitoring of project activities, requesting purchase of supplies, inventory control, travel to the region, report and grant writing, and assist with community events to accomplish goals and objectives. Supervision of staff includes trainings, direct and indirect service oversight, and weekly face-to-face meetings. Work with tribal leaders, law enforcement, shelters, community resources, medical and behavioral health providers to bridge needed services to victims of violence. Serves as a vital resource for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault and human trafficking, providing culturally appropriate, direct services.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in health or social sciences preferred. At least two (2) years of experience in victim services and or at least three (3) years of experience in the field of grant management and supervision of staff. Experience in developing and managing agency grants/contracts. Knowledge of grant policies and procedures, and business accounting principles. Knowledge of budget and fiscal procedures. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and/or written reports in the required format. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with superiors, employees, other organizations, and the public organizations. Ability to manage and coordinate program goals and objectives with a minimal amount of supervision. Willingness and means to travel and have a valid Alaska driver’s license.
Willing to take training and attend workshops and meetings periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
