Who We Are Seeking: A motivated professional and an organizational wizard to support the Executive Director with implementing the administrative responsibilities of the Tribal Government.

 

Additional Responsibilities: You will create and coordinate various special projects for the Executive Director and/or Traditional Council, including event and meeting planning, grants development and reporting, and support strategic planning initiatives.

 

Qualifications, Education & Experience: 

  • 3 + years of administrative experience including working on complex tasks, special projects and supporting one or more managers. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Superb verbal and technical written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and embrace new or updated software and the ability to accurately type 50 + WPM.

 

Certificates and Licenses Required: A valid Alaska Driver’s license is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy.

 

Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check as a condition of employment.

 

Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
