In this role you will be expected to have the knowledge of:

 

Course development methods and techniques, training principles, equipment, and materials, UAF, Cooperative Extension Service, and of 4-H Positive Youth Development.

 

You must be skilled in:

Verbal and written communication, providing excellent customer service, computer software applications, such as Google Suite, social media programs, Microsoft Office, and have-hands-on subject matter expertise.

 

You should have the ability to:

A knowledge of specialty area or subject material, operate audiovisual equipment and to use them to present information, conduct classroom training, workshops, and/or seminars, plan and organize events, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, be flexible with work hours; some nights and weekends, travel throughout the Anchorage 4-H District

 

To be successful in this position the applicant must be able to engage both youth and adults in experiential learning opportunities in a variety of community based settings. They will thrive if they are comfortable speaking in front of groups and working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. A self-motivated individual with work experience in planning, program marketing with an eye for detail will find great success in our dynamic Alaska statewide 4-H program.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Possesses unrestricted work authorization.

Possesses driver's license or the ability to get one.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located in Anchorage Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
