Position Summary:

The Cost Administrator performs transactions through working knowledge and understanding of AP procedures and processes.  A successful candidate has experience with integrated financial systems such as Lawson, ADP and Business Intelligence.  


Essential Duties & Job Functions:

  • Complies, organizes, processes, and summarizes cost allocation, and coding data directly related to department invoices.
  • Reconciles invoices, tracks course cost, and allocates charges to client cost centers.
  • Maintains AP records, documentation, and ensures cost coding accuracy.
  • Prepare reports on audit cost findings.
  • Works closely with staff and clients to ensure consistency and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Responds to requests for information and exercises problem solving.  
  • Provide customer support to internal and external clients.
  • Adheres to all Alyeska pipeline and Chugach Alaska Services policies, regulations, procedures, and employee code of conduct.

Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Training & Professional Certificates/Associations):


  • Highschool Diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years’ Accounts Payable experience.
  • Experience with Lawson, Business Intelligence, ADP.
  • Proficient with utilizing other Microsoft Office suite software such as Word and PowerPoint.
  • Current Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a skills assessment with a 40 WMP, Excel and Word with 70% accuracy.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment background check, medical and drug screening.



  • Prior TAPS or Alyeska experience.
  • Prior experience with People Fluent.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AP processes and procedures.
