Who We Are Seeking: We are seeking a compassionate, culturally grounded, and detail-oriented professional to serve as our Tribal Child and Family Caseworker, providing child-centered casework and advocacy for Tribal children and families involved in our Traditional Tribal Court and State child welfare proceedings. This individual supports placement stability, visitation planning, and the tracking of children’s educational, medical, behavioral health, safety, and cultural needs, while maintaining accurate documentation and referral follow-up. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to strengthening families and supporting the development of the Tribe’s growing Child Welfare program through policy, procedure, and program foundation work.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment. Continued employment is also contingent upon successfully passing required annual background checks.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
