Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) is looking for a talented Carpenter to contribute skilled construction and finish carpentry work to support our residential properties. We’re Cook Inlet Housing Authority – we develop, own, and operate a portfolio of affordable rental housing in the Cook Inlet region of southcentral Alaska. We are leaders in community development and advocacy work around affordable housing. We are the Tribally Designated Housing Entity for Cook Inlet Region Inc. What You’ll Do
As a Carpenter at CIHA, you’ll perform skilled journeyman-level construction and remodeling work across a wide range of projects. Your daily work will support CIHA’s housing portfolio, maintain the quality of our properties, and improve homes for residents across Anchorage.

Construction Skilled: You bring strong knowledge of carpentry, weatherization, and general building practices.
Safety-Minded: You understand occupational risks and follow safety protocols diligently.
Detail-Oriented: You can accurately measure, estimate, track materials, and maintain records.
Tool Savvy: You’re skilled in the use and care of hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment.
Customer-Focused: You work well with residents, coworkers, and vendors, and bring a service-oriented approach to every job.
Adaptable: You’re comfortable entering attics and crawlspaces, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 85 lbs.
