The University of Alaska Anchorage Copy & Print Center is recruiting for the position of Production Technician. The Copy & Print Center is part of UAA General Support Services (a unit within Facilities & Campus Services). The Production Technician is responsible for working with a variety of production copy/print and finishing/bindery equipment and reports to the Copy & Print Center Supervisor. Prior experience with production level equipment is required. Knowledge of the copy and printing industry to include technical knowledge of digital photocopying technologies (color and black & white) and bindery.

The successful candidate will be highly dependable, value timeliness, have a strong attention to detail, and possess the ability to interpret and adhere to policies and procedures. It is vital that the individual has strong professional interpersonal communication skills and can perform well as a member of a diverse team of individuals, while also being able to complete tasks independently.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the copy and print industry, including digital print technologies, large-format production, and bindery operations. General understanding of pre-press processes preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred. Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and operational efficiency. Experience with graphic installations is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and six months minimum relevant experience in a print related organization, operating and maintaining equipment is required.

Alaska Driver's License (must meet and maintain UA safe driver verification criteria).

Must achieve forklift certification within six months of hire (training provided by UAA).

Position Details:

This position is located on the Anchorage campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
