CIHA is seeking skilled Temporary Residential Maintenance Technicians for a 90-day temporary position with the possibility of a 30-day extension. This position is ideal for experienced residential maintenance professionals who want short-term, reliable work. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate rotating work schedules as well as part-time availability.

What You’ll Do

As a Temporary Residential Maintenance Technician at CIHA, you’ll perform corrective maintenance and support the turnover of vacant units to CIHA’s quality standards.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Perform drywall patching, finishing, and texturing.
  • Prepare units for painting and paint vacant units.
  • Complete minor millwork, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
  • Follow all safety policies and practices.

What We’re Looking For

Maintenance Skilled: Comfortable with general residential repair, basic electrical, plumbing, drywall, and carpentry.

Physically Capable: Able to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, twist, and work in a variety of physical environments.

The Basics

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in residential maintenance or related trades.

License:

  • Valid Alaska driver’s license required.
