KUAC FM and TV requires a fiscal tech to provide fiscal, accounting and administrative support for the KUAC business office. Join the fast paced team at KUAC, the public broadcasting radio and television service for Interior Alaska. Provide your fiscal and administrative skills to ensure donations and contributions from KUAC's supporters are well managed and used to help meet the public broadcasting mission to educate, inform and inspire.

 

The Fiscal Technician plays a vital role in supporting daily financial operations by ensuring accurate processing, tracking, and reporting of fiscal transactions. This position is responsible for tasks such as accounts payable and receivable processing, reconciliation of financial records, purchasing support, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

The Fiscal Technician works closely with internal departments, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, provide financial information, and support budgeting and reporting activities. Success in this role requires proficiency with financial systems, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, problem-solving, and contributing to the financial integrity of an organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

College coursework in Accounting or related field and one year entry-level accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Preferred knowledge and skills include: proficiency with UA Banner finance system, familiarity with QuickBooks, and familiarity with BOR policies and UA regulations.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located on the Troth Yeddah' campus in Fairbanks, AK. This is a part-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 76, based on education and experience.
