As a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Technician 2 - you are the person that represents the company on every customer contact that you make.  It is essential that the interaction between our employee and our customers is always a positive one.  Always be available to the customer if they have any feedback concerning our customer service, products, or any other issues. Responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and receiving of products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

  • Responsible for filling out all daily paperwork associated with shipping and receiving.  Note on receiving BOL if there are any shortage or damage products at the time of receiving. Notify Warehouse Manager ASAP.
  • Shipping to customer locations will require BOL’s to be filled out for the common carrier.
  • Prioritize and schedule delivery of daily package and bulk lubricants to meet customer needs via company truck or common carrier. 
  • To maintain customer bulk tanks to be filled by bulk or package verify product and quantity prior to filling tank 
  • Maintain a proper inventory level of totes / drums / pails of product that we have in our bulk tanks. 
  • To gather and maintain products samples per Vendor and Company requirements 
  • All Off-loading railcars / loading tanker/ISO tanker and package products must be to accordance with Company and Vendor requirements.  
  • Physical inventory counts are required – and given to the Warehouse Manager for reconciliation 
  • Interest and focus on safety including keeping a ‘safety first’ mentality and learning about material safety data sheets (SDS) containing information regarding the properties of a particular substance/product.
  • Be able to lift 75 pounds and roll 55 gallons drums
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, LISCENSES and, Clearances.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office.
  • 2 years warehouse and 2 years or more Class *B* driving experience in a business environment preferred. 
  • Experience in ice and snow road conditions 
  • Be able to operate a Forklift & Class *B* vehicle 
  • Knowledge of a bulk plant and lubricants helpful
  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check in order to obtain a Transportation worker’s Identification card *TWIC* 
  • Current DMV report required at interview, showing a clean record 
  • Current valid Blass *B* CDL with Air Brake, Tank and HazMat endorsements.
  • Current CDL medical certification card required, and it must remain valid. 
  • Pre-employment DOT/FMCSA drug test and random drug and alcohol tests thereafter.
  • DOT/FMCSA background check, driving license check will be completed prior to start of work.  At a minimum, annual driving license checks will be done thereafter.
  • It is required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002 (MTSA) that you obtain a valid *TWIC* card to have unescorted access to our facilities.  In order to work at this facility, you must have a *TWIC*.  Once you obtain your *TWIC* you must maintain eligibility and keep your *TWIC* current and valid as a condition of employment. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees or customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The work environment is in a busy office setting.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and may be required to travel in small and large commercial aircraft.
