Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients and staff members in a manner that is respectful and empowering.

Essential Functions:
- Provide assistance to the Chair and Wellness Director.
- Work with contractors, volunteers and staff.
- Coordinate Fairbanks Wellness Coalition events and projects between the Steering Committee, Wellness Director, volunteers, and community.
- Attend all Coalition planned events.
- Coordinate moving, inventory, packing, and of all Coalition printed documents, promotional materials, and furniture.
- Maintain and update social media presence and website with pictures of Coalition events
- Assist and document purchase of advertising, supplies, equipment, and other necessary items using the IAC approved procurement guidelines.
- Attends meetings and trainings as required
- Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the Coalition
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree in human services, business, marketing, education, or closely related field. Job or school experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of the Fairbanks community
- Commitment to the Coalition’s mission and goals
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles
- Proficient with computers, ability to do data entry, and word processing software.
- Excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Alaska culture, lifestyle, and life in rural Alaska.
- Valid Alaska driver’s license.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in web design and developing marketing materials, including but not limited to creating and editing public service announcements (PSA’s), print advertisements and graphics; using publisher
Supervision: Prevention and Wellness Director- day to day. The Coalition as represented by the Chair for activities determined by the Coalition.
Hours: Part-time, temporary position. 25 hours per week
Salary: $19.80 - $22.27 DOE Non-exempt
