General Functions:
The Marketing and Stakeholder Relations Lead works under the direction of the Communications Manager to execute marketing campaigns and manage stakeholder relationships that support CITC's strategic communications plan. This position serves as the primary liaison with program participants, community stakeholders, and partners while implementing marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels to strengthen community connections and promote CITC's services. The role directly contributes to CITC's mission to work in partnership with our people to develop opportunities that fulfill our endless potential by ensuring effective communication and engagement with all stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as primary contact for program participants, community stakeholders, and donors while executing stakeholder communication strategies and maintaining relationship databases.
Implement marketing campaigns and digital marketing tactics including social media, email marketing, SEO/content optimization, and online engagement activities as directed by the Communications Manager.
Create audience-specific content for stakeholder communications including newsletters, social media posts, graphics, videos, and promotional materials within brand guidelines ensuring cultural sensitivity and accessibility compliance.
Support program and event marketing including materials preparation, coordination with program directors, promotional activities for CITC services and event planning and execution.
Track and report marketing campaign performance, stakeholder engagement metrics, and digital analytics (Google, social media, etc.) to the Communications Manager to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate ROI.
Facilitate internal communications between the Communications Manager and program staff regarding marketing needs and brand compliance.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as directed while supporting crisis communications, media relations, and special projects as assigned.
Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, tribal councils, and other stakeholders to expand CITC's reach and impact.
Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality in all communications and stakeholder relations matters.
Serve as a team lead for communications initiatives and provide leadership direction when the Communications Manager is unavailable.
Perform all related duties as needed and assigned.
Job Specifications:
Excellent writing and communication skills with ability to create compelling, culturally appropriate content for diverse audiences across multiple platforms.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and content management systems including WordPress.
Experience with data analysis and interpretation using Google Analytics and marketing analytics tools to inform strategic decision-making.
Ability to work effectively under supervision while taking initiative and maintaining regular communication with management.
Professional attitude with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, support various organizational communications needs and work effectively in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, educational, training, and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community, including traditional communication protocols and cultural sensitivity.

Minimum Qualifications:
Continued employment is contingent upon completion of satisfactory state and federal fingerprint criminal background check.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related field. Relevant professional experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, stakeholder relations, or public relations with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
Two (2) years of previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience working with tribal organizations, non-profits, or community-based organizations.
Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and relationship building within Alaska Native or American Indian communities.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, digital marketing platforms and analytics tools including Google Analytics and social media insights platforms.
Proficiency in Canva, email newsletter programs, WordPress, and basic HTML/CSS for website maintenance and content management.
Experience with database management and marketing analytics tools.
Knowledge of SEO/SEM principles and content optimization strategies.
Experience with accessibility standards and ADA compliance for digital content creation.

May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and consistently working on a computer with repetitive motion.
The need to occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets, storage cabinets, and office equipment may be necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally by utilizing proper lifting techniques and working in a safe manner.
