Donlin Gold: Housekeeper/General Helper - Remote Camp Services
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas for a remote site work camp.
 This is a rewarding position who love to clean and make the housing environment a clean and comfortable place for people at work and away from home.

The successful Housekeeper/General Helper will:

  • Sort, count, fold, carry linens; organize cart/storage
  • Make beds
  • Clean common areas, rest rooms, camp facilities (mine dry, gym, etc.)
  • Sweep, scrub, mop floors as necessary
  • Clean and/or dust rugs, carpet, upholstered furniture, and draperies or blinds
  • Wash loads of personal laundry, coveralls, towels, bedding, etc.
  • Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays if required
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • Replenish bathroom supplies
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms
  • Audit housekeeping report against billeting each day
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supply
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure food safety, a safe workplace, and a positive team atmosphere
  • Carry out all activities in compliance with laws, regulations, company vision, values, guiding principles, and policies and procedures

The Housekeeper must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
 
In addition to the duties performed, the individual must be able to physical and mentally work away from home, family and friends for extended remote rotation.  12 hours daily, 7 days a week, 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off.   The point of hire for this position is Anchorage near Crooked Creek; this means it is the employee's responsibility to report to the point of hire from their home.
 
Education and/or Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving record may be required
  • First Aid Certification may be required
  • CPR Certification may be required
