The Chief Operating Officer (COO) works closely with Maniilaq Division Directors, Administrative Leadership and leadership teams within Maniilaq to become familiar with the organization and assists with efforts that serve to address operational challenges and improve efficiencies throughout the organization. As a member of the Maniilaq Executive Leadership Team (MELT), works collaboratively with MELT colleagues to provide organization-wide leadership. Represents Maniilaq at various local, State and Federal levels to further Maniilaq’s Mission & Vision. Provides reports to the Maniilaq Board of Directors during regular and other meetings of the board. The position is Kotzebue-based, and reports directly to the President/CEO.
A Master’s degree in business, health care administration, public health or related field required, and three years of relevant work experience in executive leadership roles and five years of demonstrated supervisory experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desire to be an effective Team player to provide leadership and direction for the organization. Ability to identify key operational needs, opportunities, and solutions that contribute to Maniilaq’s Mission, Strategic Goals & Objectives that in turn lead to Healthy people, thriving communities.

COMPENSATION:
Increases depending on experience, education and as determined by the hiring manager.
