JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Operations Assistant

Department: Recovery Services

Reports To: Operations Manager

Supervises: None

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: N4

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time

 

 

General Functions:

The Expediter/Driver is a vital team member within Recovery Services (RS) department. The

Expediter/Driver maintains the health and safety of all RS vehicles under the direction of the

Operations Manager, procures supplies for the department, performs the duties of a driver and

expediter as needed, and provides general support and assistance to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Complete daily delivery of external and internal mail within the Recovery Services

department.

• Complete daily deliveries and pickups of supplies and medications within Recovery Services

as requested/assigned.

• Removal of trash, recyclable, donated items and other debris from all Recovery Services

locations as needed.

• Support the Operations Manager in maintaining storage units.

• Maintain records, such as timesheets, logbooks, receipts, etc.

• Participate in emergency drills as directed.

• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean and filled with gasoline.

• Assist in the RS fleet maintenance program, including studded tire swaps, oil changes,

transporting vehicles for service, and vehicle checks to make sure all documents and safety

equipment are stocked and in order.

• Notify Operations Manager when vehicles are in need of service/repair.

• Maintain accurate record of all driving services.

• Perform all assigned duties following AKOSH and OSHA safety and health standards.

• Maintain confidentiality of CITC participants and staff following all applicable rules

governing confidentiality, HIPAA and CFR 42.

• Display a professional disposition at all times.

• Maintain a positive working relationship with CITC staff, participants and consumers alike.

• Participate in scheduled internal/external meetings/trainings as requested.

• Maintain a clean driving record.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Experience using basic hand tools and performing essential functions.

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds.

• Must have or be willing to obtain a First Aid Certification.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, educational, training, and

cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.

• Continued employment is contingent upon completion of a satisfactory state and federal

background check.

• Valid Alaska Drivers License and insurable under CITC’s automotive insurance policy (5

year clean driving record).
