An intern develops a working knowledge of operations, policies, and procedures in a specific area of the bank during an internship period, and completes administrative and project-based tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops knowledge and understanding of various segments of bank’s operations, policies and procedures through on-the-job training and by observing more experienced personnel.
  • Completes assigned tasks and may assist with projects under supervisor’s direction by applying obtained knowledge and skills.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations and complete all compliance training on time.
  • Knowledgeable of and comply with bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations that apply to you and your job.
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank’s operations by identifying and protecting confidential information.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Student interns must be enrolled in a college or university working toward a degree or certification. Other internship candidates must have recommendation and approval from the appropriate leaders of their organization or community.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Attention to detail required. Ability to handle confidential information, deadlines, and time constraints required. Ability to manage and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (or similar) programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
