Southcentral Foundation is currently seeking a Psychiatrist for our Behavioral Urgent Response Team (BURT)

SCF is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Urgent Response Team (BURT), a dynamic hospital-based Consult Liaison Psychiatry Service.  Our team consists of psychiatric prescribers, master’s level clinicians, full time nurse case manager, and dedicated behavioral health case managers.  This role will offer the ability to provide care in multiple settings including the Emergency Room, Medical/Surgical Units, Rural integrated care, and the possibility to follow a case over a limited time in an outpatient bridge clinic.  With our 7 on, 7 off schedule, we have the best CL schedule in the nation and our commitment to your work life balance is unmatched! Clinic Setting:

Consult Liaison Psychiatry Service

Primarily Hospital-based (ER and Medical/Surgical units)

Integrated rural coverage

Generous - Non RVU based compensation

7 days on / 7 days off work schedule with accrual of PTO

Approximately 5-10 patients a day (New and Follow up)

Work on a robust and dynamic CL team with psychiatric prescribers, master’s level clinicians, full time nurse case manager, and behavioral health case managers

Psychiatrist:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Psychiatrist is responsible for providing direct clinical customer care and works with other clinical staff to establish medical protocols and treatment regimens. The BURT Physician Psychiatrist is a member of a liaison consult team providing psychiatric consult services in an inpatient setting as well as follow-up appointments in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree required.
• Licensed as a Physician in the State of Alaska.
• Current American Board certification specialty appropriate for the service.
• Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
