Job Period:  Open Until filled

Duties: (short description)

• Oversees projects/tasks as assigned by the Tribal Administrator

• Supervises day labor, assists with HR functions delegated by Tribal Administrator

• Project Manager for specified grants or funds held by Tribe ex: CARES Act and Recovery Act funded projects

• Other duties as assigned

Pay Rate:

Depends on experience 

Some of the skills/abilities required for the job:

• College degree and a valid AK driver’s license

• Previous experience and knowledge managing federally funded projects preferred.  Understanding of GAAP and respect for following financial procedures of the NNC. 

• Ability to listen and apply information immediately is important, this person needs to be a fast learner with a strong ability to stay focused for long periods of time.  EX: PM will need to read, comprehend and implement NNC policies immediately.  Same with the federal funding guidelines.  PM will have to read them right away and incorporate them into project management strategy. 

• Exemplary attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.  Respect timelines of the Tribal Administrator.  Be able to follow directives right away.

• Good networking skills, ability to work professionally with many different types of organizations. 

• Applicant should possess research skills and professional writing skills.  PM will apply those skills for written reports and written proposals as needed or directed.  Must be great on a computer and proficient with Microsoft programs at a minimum. 

• Understanding of tribal government organization and the mission of the NNC.
