In this role, you will manage financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and support budgeting and financial reporting activities.

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to process and verify financial transactions, reconcile financial records, and prepare detailed reports and financial statements. The role requires ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies. Candidates should have at least one year of college coursework in accounting or a related field, along with strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. The vice chancellor for research (VCR) is one of 5 UAF vice chancellors and a member of the chancellor's core cabinet at UAF. The VCR's role is to build capacity and depth in UAF's research and development efforts. The fiscal coordinator will be a vital member of the VCR's office working with the Animal Resource Center to help build capacity and research while maintaining compliance.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have stellar interpersonal skills, develop good relationships with clients and vendors, and have the ability to think creatively to solve unexpected problems.

Must work well with the public and have excellent organizational and communication (oral and written) skills since the position involves interpersonal public relations.

Advanced knowledge of computer operation and software including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Suites.

Minimum Qualifications:

One year of college coursework in Accounting or related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha' campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a part-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php.
