2nd Cook


ATCO Frontec is seeking a 2nd Cook to join our Camp Services team in Fairbanks, AK. The 2nd Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of foods and assiting the 1st and Head Cooks.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure meals are prepared and severed to the highest standard
  • Support kitchen operations in a professional manner
  • Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner
  • Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner
  • Other duties as assigned by management from time to time
  • Some scratch baking required
  • Sandwich making

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Completion of a college or other post-secondary program in cooking
  • 1-2 years of experience as 2nd cook in the hotel/restaurant industry or camps
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Professional communication skills, oral, and written
  • Work well under pressure
  • Alaska Food Safe Certificate is required
