JOB TITLE: Alaska Census Working Group Coordinator

Work Schedule and Location

• This is an Anchorage-based position primarily in-office with some remote work possible as the work advances.
• As the work advances, rural travel is possible and may include small planes or ATV

The position summary

The Foraker Group seeks a passionate and organized Alaska Census Working Group (ACWG) Coordinator to support ACWG co-chairs, convene meetings, and deploy resources. ACWG is a bipartisan, multisector coalition from across Alaska. Foraker’s role is to provide substantive organizational support and participate in overall leadership of the group’s census efforts.

The primary objective of the working group is to ensure that every Alaskan, particularly those in hard-to-count populations (e.g. rural areas, Alaska Natives, people of color, immigrant communities, and low-income individuals) are counted. The work of the ACWG is in connection with but distinct from the State of Alaska-led or US Census Bureau-led efforts.

The Coordinator will have a unique opportunity to support the ACWG by managing details and relationships to have lasting statewide results. This is also an opportunity to work closely with dynamic statewide leaders and work within the Foraker team while leading the details to keep the momentum of the team flowing.
