Are you a detail-oriented financial professional with a passion for numbers and keeping things organized? The Community & Technical College (CTC) is seeking a dependable and detail oriented fiscal technician to assist departments across the college.

 

At CTC, under the Rural, Community, and Native Education at the UAF, you'll play a key role in accurately and efficiently helping staff and faculty with procurement, finance, and administrative duties. You'll collaborate with a supportive administrative team, follow standard fiscal processes while sharing office responsibilities.

We're looking for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, brings strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, can confidently navigate financial systems and reporting tools, maintain confidentiality, and is dependable, respectful and consistently works to uphold ethics and standards. Your expertise in fund accounting, sponsored programs, and business operations will be essential in strengthening our financial stewardship, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the college's resources are managed with accuracy and transparency.

 

To thrive in this role, candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on multiple projects. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written, are essential. Understanding fiscal and purchasing policies, rules, and regulations, with the ability to analyze expenditures and perform technical accounting functions, will be essential in this role.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

1 year of college coursework in accounting or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located on the UAF Community and Technical College campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
