Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our critical operations across Alaska. This is a high-visibility leadership role overseeing electrical engineering groups, field teams, and service departments providing vital installation and maintenance services at FAA installations.
The ideal candidate brings over 20 years of facility operations experience, possesses intimate knowledge of Alaska’s unique logistical landscape, and has a proven track record of managing complex aviation infrastructure projects. This is a stable, 3-year contract position offering a highly competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
Program & Project Leadership: Direct all phases of project planning, execution, financial controls, and final delivery for multi-site aviation facility upgrades.
Operational Management: Oversee the Services Departments, managing office staff, field teams, and subcontractors through all project life cycles.
Engineering Oversight: Lead and mentor specialized electrical engineering groups delivering technical installation and maintenance services at FAA facilities.
Alaska Logistics: Navigate the unique geographical, seasonal, and logistical challenges of executing fast-tracked installations across remote Alaskan environments.
Client & Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary, customer-focused point of contact for the FAA and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 20+ years of progressive facility operations, engineering management, and leadership experience.
Geographic Expertise: Must be a local resident of Alaska with documented experience executing installations across the state and familiarity with Alaskan FAA facilities.
Project Management: Mastery of project management frameworks (PMP certification is a strong plus),including budget controls, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
Technical Background: Strong background overseeing electrical engineering groups or complex electrical infrastructure projects.
Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a heavy focus on client satisfaction and teamleadership.
