Job Summary:
Koniag Energy & Water is a dynamic and growing organization that provides a variety of technical services andsolutions to industrial customers across Alaska. As we expand our team, we are seeking a talented Supply ChainSpecialist to join us.  The Supply Chain Specialist supports our manufacturing and field teams and is responsible for many tasks ofPurchasing, Sourcing, Shipping Logistics, Vendor Management, Contract Administration, and Inventory Control.


Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain processes.
Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Track the status of requisitions and orders.
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including coordinating logistics and transportation.
Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Implement cost-effective strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, proposal evaluation, and contract negotiation.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain operations.
Select and recommend suppliers for project Bills Of Material (BOMs) and structural and resale material;negotiate price, quality, and service.
Create purchase orders and ensure accuracy.
Maintain a system of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment.
Track purchasing and inventory data utilizing QuickBooks and Foundation.
Work with internal parties to resolve supplier issues, including billing, damage claims, rejections, losses, returnof materials, over-shipments, change orders, and cancellations.
Warehouse organization, shipping/receiving, and administrative support.
Continuous management of company inventory.
Facility management at our Wasilla location.
Maintain forklift certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
2-5 years of experience working in Procurement in a technical manufacturing setting.
Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in MicrosoftExcel.
Experience with QuickBooks and Foundation accounting software preferred.
Ability to work independently and provide solutions to technical problems.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively through all levels ofthe organization.
Must be able to work independently and interact effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, andsuppliers.
Dependable attendance.
Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and standard office equipment.
Ability to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods (up to 10 hours a day with lunchand breaks).
Must be able to withstand repetitive motion up to 10 hours a day with lunch and breaks.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb a ladder.
 

Office Location and Travel:
This position is in Wasilla, AK
Minimal travel may be required.

Working Environment & Conditions:
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a manufacturing environment, and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools,or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit or standfor extended periods. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilitiesrequired by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjustfocus
