Applicants must be well versed in all aspects of electrical, instrumentation, and control system design for the oil and gas industry, working as an integral member of a multi-discipline engineering design team. The successful individual will have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards and how to apply within design work
  • Experience working with Alaska oil and gas production, pipeline and refinery installations
  • Experience specifying, designing and commissioning industrial instrumentation and control systems
  • Experience designing, configuring and programming industrial networks, PLC and HM systems is a plus
  • Experience in water and wastewater instrumentation and control systems a plus
  • North slope arctic environment design experience
  • Strong AutoCAD skills required with the ability to follow CAD standards, Revit or CADWorx experience highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, technical writing and communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to manage effort on multiple projects concurrently
  • Able to understand P&IDs and support development of P&ID instrumentation and control system interface, control and philosophy development, safe chart development, etc.
  • Able to develop accurate loop drawings
