Position Summary:
The Department of Human Services Department is seeking applications for a Student Assistant to assist for a federal grant project.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Works under general direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, including technology (Zoom, etc.) .
Exercises independent judgment and decision-making.
Ability to work with a team to assist with scheduling and documentation

Typical Experience:
6 months to 3 years office/clerical experience is preferred.

Required Education or Training:
Demonstrated education and experience sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the position and to have acquired the necessary skills and abilities.

• Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
• Have been enrolled in the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters;
• Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
• Students enrolled in non-traditional programs of study will be considered eligible for student employment;
• An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.

Salary Information:

This is a Student Assistant 2 position with minimum pay of $11.34/per hour

This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.

• Part-time position - working 15-20 hours per week while school is in session.
• Preference for individual to work on campus but remote work requests within Alaska may be considered.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a student employee who is eager to learn and displays a positive attitude as they work with students and faculty in this behavioral health project. Must be able to work in a busy open school environment with many interruptions and be skilled in multitasking. Individual will work between 15-20 hours per week.


• Maintain student data files for HRSA (Health Resources & Services Administration) grant.
• Assist with setting up and scheduling meetings.
• Prepare initial data reports for quarterly grant reports.
• Handle logistics for master calendar for students in rotation sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
