Notice of Apprenticeship Opportunity


The Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Trust (AJEATT) is currently accepting applications for apprenticeship in the wireman trade in Homer, Alaska.

Applications must be complete by July 6th, 2021 to qualify. All qualifying applicants will be scheduled for an interview.

Minimum Qualifications. To qualify for interview, you must:

  1. Be at least eighteen years of age on interview date
  2. Have a high school diploma or GED
  3. Meet the minimum math requirement by completing one of the following:
    1. Two semesters of Algebra 1 (or higher-level algebra) with a grade of 'C' or better
    2. Certificate of completion of the NJATC Math Course (available on our website)
    3. Alaska Department of Labor WorkKeys® math assessment with a score of 6 or higher
  4. Possess a valid Alaska driver’s license


Required documents. The following items are required. If any are missing or incomplete by the application deadline, your application will not be considered:

  1. Completed online application form
  2. OFFICIAL transcripts for high school and post high school education and training, including GED records if applicable
  3. Proof that you have met the minimum math requirement
  4. Copy of current Alaska driver’s license
  5. $25.00 application fee
