Recruiting for a Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO): Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Position is in Seldovia, Alaska; a remote community located in the Kenai Peninsula Borough.
Job duties include but are not limited to law enforcement, community policing, fire safety, prevention and suppression, emergency medical, and search and rescue. Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical fitness test, criminal background check, medical examination, and complete the 9 week VPSO Basic Training at the Alaska law Enforcement Training Academy, Emergency Trauma Technician certification, and the 2-week Rural Fire Protection Specialist certification course. Starting Salary Range: $70,765.00 – $81,315.00 DOE + benefits.
