JOB TITLE: Behavioral Health Clinician
LOCATION: Anchorage, Alaska

WORK HOURS: 7.5/day
DUTIES: Will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessment, outpatient psychological services, substance use assessments, transition/discharge planning for individuals, and group counseling sessions. Direct clinical care for all ages and can provide a variety of eclectic therapy models including but not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed, and addiction modalities. Assist with quality assurance, clinical records management, case management, and behavioral health outreach to the Aleutian and Pribilof communities as needed. Adhere to State of Alaska Regulations, Joint Commission on Accreditation standards, CMS (Medicaid), and private insurance guidelines. Services may be provided in person or via tele-behavioral health. Partial telework may be required
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree (required) in field such as Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent, or a Doctoral Degree in a field such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent. Degree must be from an accredited resident-based, non-distance learning program. Candidate must be eligible at time of hire for Alaska State Licensure in the employee’s professional discipline. Knowledge of federal confidentiality regulations and requirements. Tele-behavioral health experience preferred. Must have knowledge and ability to interact with cross-cultural clients and ability to work effectively with different cultures. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and written reports in the required format. Willing to take training and attend workshops periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Willingness and means to travel. A valid Alaska Driver’s License is preferred. Native preference will be given depending on experience.
