This job will never be dull and never the same from day-to-day. It is also an integral position for college fiscal teams. This position is responsible for monitoring fiscal transactions for assigned colleges. They will advise the Strategic Budget Officer (SBO) of any problems that could impact budgets & assist on a department level management and maintenance of soft ledgers. They will monitor all incoming donations to Foundation accounts, including gifts, pledges and scholarships made to the college. This will include verifying balances using Tableau and the Foundation. This position works in collaboration with fiscal techs, assists with ProCard purchases on behalf of departments. This position will provide assistance to travelers using Concur to process travel authorizations, track travel expenditures and process travel expense reports. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining room reservations for Library 302A and 307 using 25Live, and assist UA personnel as well as the public with questions and information about availability.
In order to thrive in this role, the applicant should possess excellent organizational skills and be adept at prioritizing work. Have flexibility and patience in dealing with multiple schools & colleagues from other departments, as well as the public. Take pride in completing accurate assignments and processing them in a timely manner. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics or related field and 2 years professional fiscal experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Financial work experience with purchasing, reconciling for multiple departments.
Five years plus fiscal/budget experience, office/clerical training and/or equivalent experience is preferred.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAA campus in Anchorage, AK, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.
