WWAMI Alaska is looking for a PhD prepared physiologist to teach Human Physiology including cardiac, pulmonary, renal, endocrine, reproductive, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and neurological to both doctor of medicine and pharmacy students.

 

This is a Term Bipartite appointment with a focus on teaching in an active learning/flipped class room model. The curriculum is provided through the University of Washington School of Medicine, and the same curriculum is team taught in both large and small groups at each site. The UWSOM/WWAMI School of Medical Education is a decentralized partnership program that provides medical education to Alaskan residents. Idaho State University is the partner program with the University of Alaska, Anchorage which provides education leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

 

Past experience teaching with medical students preferred.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Candidates should have earned a PhD in a relevant biomedical science. Must meet the requirements for appointment to the faculty at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a 9-month (with an expected 1.5 month summer contract extension), part-time (60% to 75%), term, non-tenure-track faculty position complete with a competitive https://www.alaska.edu/jobs/benefits/.
