UAA General Support Services is recruiting for the position of Mail Clerk. UAA General Support Services includes the Copy & Print Center, Mailroom/Central Receiving, Surplus & Relocation, and Recycling functions.

 

Individuals who enjoy interacting customers in person on a daily basis while being out and about on campus will thrive in this role. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret and adhere to policies and procedures. A positive, customer focused demeaner is essential.

 

Additional qualifications for this position include:

Excellent customer service skills to include strong interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Intermediate computer operations knowledge.

Ability to interpret and apply complex rules, regulations and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. Customer service experience and proficiency with the use of computers.

Alaska Driver's License (must meet and maintain UA safe driver verification criteria). Please specify in your application materials if you have a valid Alaska Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.

 

Position Details:

 

This position is located on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus in Anchorage. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/files/fy24_staff_salary_grid.pdf, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
