We are so grateful that you are considering being part of our great team! Below you will find our role description for our Volunteer Vice President Position.

 

Each team member is expected to know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs. An important part is to serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization to help the organization to advance its mission. Networking is also helpful when possible. This can include leveraging connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the organization’s mission. Consistency is important as well, so it is an expectation to prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in meetings.

 

We currently need a knowledgeable expert in various aspects. We are a small nonprofit with a goal of expanding. We need skills in leadership, management, finances, and grant writing.

 

Tasks may include:

 

  • How to best communicate our organization’s needs,
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks,
  • Fundraising,
  • Reporting,
  • Financial tasks,
  • Help write and submit grants,
  • Facilitate board meetings when President or Board Chair are unable to,
  • Act as President when President is absent,
  • Assist with Tribal Federal Recognition.

 

There are several projects that this organization is working on from Tribal Federal Recognition, museum work, and cultural revitalization. We hope to be able to discuss these in detail with you soon!
