Manager of Planning and Grants:

Hiring Range $75,296.00 to $100,401.60

Pay Range $75,296.00 to $112,964.80

Summary of Job Responsibilities: 

Responsible for working with divisional management to develop and implement strategies for the acquisition and maintenance of grant funds to support current and future programs. The Manager of Planning and Grants is responsible for providing direction, compliance for grantor and audit requirements, grant management oversight, support, and guidance to Planning and Grants Department. 

This position requires a high degree of technical, interpersonal and management skills with independent judgement and thorough knowledge in all areas of grant administration. The Manager of Planning and Grants works directly with senior leadership, management, and committees to develop and design systems and processes to improve the overall effectiveness of grant management in SCF.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough
understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in public health, business administration or a related field; OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Four (4) years’ experience in managing grants for social service agencies with mental health, general health programs, tribal health entities, university or higher education organizations, research facilities, or similar industries, to include operating or managing
    high-value or complex grants.
  3. Two (2) years of supervisory experience which can be concurrent with the four (4) years of grant management experience.
