QUALIFICATIONS: Must demonstrate the ability to accomplish the Essential Job Results described in detailed job description (view on http://www.bbna.com). Job knowledge / documentation required before entering the job. A thorough knowledge of fund accounting, to include a sound understanding of overall accounting processes, financial statement preparation and related disclosures. P.L. 93-638 compacting and contracting experience. Advanced Financial Management. Degree in business administration with a major in accounting or finance and four years supervisory experience. At discretion of BBNA, additional years of experience at an upper management level may substitute for college education. Professional level accounting experience including the areas of general accounting, payroll operations, fixed assets and depreciation with increasing responsibility at an executive level. Adept with contemporary computer applications and software that is used on a daily basis including advanced excel; accounting software, preferably MIP Fund Accounting software or similar; Confluence and Jira, and other current Microsoft products. Familiarity or experience specifically with complex non-profit fiscal systems, Tribal Governments, concepts and application of financial management systems. Knowledgeable of federal regulations, especially those covering Bureau of Indian Affairs. Demonstrated administrative skills and sound fiscal judgment. Ability to explain financial policies and procedures to staff and organizational leaders. Background clearance including fingerprints. Preferred: CPA. Direct experience with Alaska Native non-profit organizations and rural service delivery. Familiarity with Bristol Bay area, people, and cultures.
