Our client: A well respected group of Alaska Native-owned companies with over two decades of Alaskan community experience, is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join their team.

Would you like to:

• Assign tasks to and coordinate work with entry level engineers
• Assist in determining scheduled and budget requirements
• Occasionally interact with clients, officials, contractors and others
• Prepare drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD
• Assist with proposals to provide professional services
• Prepare as-built record drawings
• Prepare permit applications
• Observe construction activities
• Travel to remote project sites

Ideally you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam
• Three years recent experience in Civil Engineering
• AutoCAD, Excel and Word proficiency
• Civil design experience
• Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS
• Experience with Microsoft Project
• Willingness and ability to travel and perform field work in adverse Arctic conditions and away from direct supervision
• Understanding of civil construction techniques and sequencing
• Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlines
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change

Strongly preferred:

• Alaskan experience
• Agency coordination/permitting
• Field work/site inspection/construction
• Civil design: roads, site design, utility infrastructure
• Planning documents; master planning, PERs and DSRs
