POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The School of Allied Health at the University of Alaska Anchorage seeks an individual who will work in a collaborative/interdisciplinary teaching environment in the delivery of courses within the UAA Health Physical Education & Recreation program. The faculty member appointed to this position will provide advising to prospective and current HPER students, didactic and laboratory education to students enrolled in the HPER program.  This position supports the University of Alaska bipartite mission of performing teaching and service.

This position is a full-time, term, appointment at the rank of Term Assistant Professor of Kinesiology & Exercise Science.  This position is responsible for: (1) teaching, (2) directing student learning and assessing student progress in achieving the requirements of the program in the appropriate learning domains, and (3) course revision, academic assessment, curriculum improvement, text evaluation, academic advising, program development and University committee participation.
