JOB DUTIES

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, healthy and positive learning environment, which enhances the developmental learning of children.
  • Assist with providing an environment that respects the gender, culture, ethnicity, family composition and special emotional, cognitive, and developmental needs of the individual child.
  • Assist with lesson plans, developing materials, and implementing activities.
  • Clean classroom on a daily basis, including but not limited to, putting away supplies, and cleaning and sanitizing all toys and surfaces.
  • Attend staff meetings, other scheduled meetings and required trainings.
  • Adhere to all State licensing regulations.
  • Act as a positive role model for children, especially with regard to respecting the feelings and rights of others.
  • Keep adequate records of any accidents incurred by a child under care
  • Follow program procedures for reporting child abuse and neglect.
  • Maintain confidentiality of family records and information.
  • Attends professional development activities as required
  • Maintain documentation in compliance with Department, State, Federal, Professional, and Ethical guidelines
  • Participate in required and optional training as needed for licensure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
