This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Healing to Wellness Court, a jail diversion program for individuals who have committed nonviolent substance abuse related crimes in State Court. The coordinator will work collaboratively as the project manager with the community, law enforcement, prosecutors and the justice systems to develop and finalize agreements, and protocols that will result in the commencement of the referral of clients to the Healing to Wellness Court from the State Superior Court Criminal Justice System. The coordinator will work collaboratively to raise awareness of the Healing to Wellness Court. This position will act as a case manager to individuals referred and accepted into the STA Healing to Wellness Court, will assess their ongoing needs, coordinate services, and ensure compliance with program guidelines. The coordinator will have frequent contact with participants, service providers, and the Healing to Wellness Court team to ensure compliance, implementation and follow-through promoting successful outcomes for Participants, Court, and Community. This position will have records management duties and will need to communicate sensitive material among service providers and the Healing to Wellness Court team. Successful candidates for this position must possess empathy and respect for those who have used drugs or abused alcohol.
