General Manager, Tuyan

Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Inc. (CITC) is a not-for-profit organization that helps Alaska Native and American Indian people residing in the Cook Inlet Region in southcentral Alaska. CITCs primary objective is to enable Our People to reach their full potential through 50 impactful programs/services and partnerships with its numerous subsidiaries.

CITC is now assisting in recruiting for Tuyan, LLC's new General Manager. Tuyan, LLC stands on the foundation of strength, resilience, and innovation. Formed as a joint venture between Alaska-based Ninilchik Tribe and CITC Enterprises, Inc. (CEI), our mission is to pick up the tools of the modern world to create value in a technology-driven marketplace through product development, direct investments, contracting, and partnerships.

Position Summary

General Manager – reports directly to the Tuyan, LLC Board of Directors, and the successful incumbent will be responsible for directing the company's operations in accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, and internal goals and policies. This position oversees operations and resources, managing and providing leadership while contributing to the company's strategic goals.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive work plans for short, mid-range and long-term projects such as financial analysis for operating departments; for accounting and internal control considerations and the skills to manage such projects along with the demonstrated ability to perform many of the related project tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales and marketing, with specific experience in developing federal contract proposals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, and partner companies. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with regulatory.
  • Excellent organizational, follow-up, follow-through and detail oriented skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with a particular emphasis on the presentation of financial material.
  • Unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity and confidentiality.
  • Performs as a self-managed individual.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of IT Technology infrastructure services like SAAS and IAAS.
  • Knowledge of IT security systems and platforms.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or business administration with experience and training, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements.
  • Ten years of progressively increased responsibilities and diverse experience in a professional organization with preferred experience in federal contracting.
  • Master’s in Business Administration or Graduate degree in technology related field preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
