The Alaska Adult Education (AAE) Instructor works with AAE staff and the AAE Regional Director to develop curriculum and help adult students improve reading, writing, and math skills as well as prepare to take the GED tests.

Salary: $53K – $60K/year DOE

Responsibilities:

* Report to the Director of Programs/AAE Regional Director

* Work with other AAE staff to develop and implement curriculum

* Provide instruction, student intake, and orientation

* Develop student education plans

* Maintain and enter Student Records

* Proctor TABE and GED Ready tests

* Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master’s degree preferred

* Teaching experience required, certified teacher preferred

* Cross-cultural experience necessary

* Proficiency with educational technology required

* Computer literacy and the ability to enter data and complete reporting

* Must be able to work and communicate with other members of the team

* Yup’ik speaker preferred
