Behavioral Health Office Coordinator
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Rate of Pay: DOE   Location: Anchorage, AK

Duties: This position provides front office coordination for the Behavioral Health Program. This includes supervision for Patient Registration and Scheduling Technicians. Provides leadership in all areas of front desk receptionist duties. This position encompasses routine and specialized office duties working closely with a diverse patient base.  Possesses knowledge of HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverages, and office safety standards. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record and Joint Commission Accreditation is a plus. Need strong secretarial, written and oral communication, organizational, and Word processing skills (to include Excel). Must be able to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate with a minimum of 3 years applicable experience working with a diverse population. Must have office leadership experience with preferred supervision experience.  Must have the ability to work with confidential material, preferably in the medical or behavioral health field. Must have strong secretarial, communication, organizational, and word processing skills. Must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere, have excellent communication skills with a mature professional work philosophy. Preferred knowledge for Cerner electronic health record system and Joint Commission standards.  Preferred experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance benefits.  Willing to take training, attend workshops, and meetings to enhance job performance and knowledge.
