Job Title: Co-Director of Programming
Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Hours: Flexible scheduling in collaboration with team; some evening and weekend hours
Location: Bethel
Pay range: $55,000-$60,000 DOE plus benefits

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: May not include all duties of this job
● Conducts intake and supports acceptance of youth participants into COR host home programming or refers youth to appropriate resources.
● Completes a comprehensive assessment of the needs and challenges of participants, with the participants, within 5 days of initial contact and based on program eligibility requirements.
● Upholds requirements of HUD and CoC by entering data in the Homeless Management Information System and completing necessary intervention tools.
● Assists in facilitating a match between youth and hosts.
● Monitors youth and host relationships throughout the hosting experience.
● Participates in the development of the initial and ongoing plan for housing and community stabilization with participants, always remaining youth led and directed.
● Consults community investors, trained volunteers, and board members regarding the ongoing coordination of participant needs. Actively participates in COR meetings and follows up with issues related to the coordination of care promptly, reporting back to the group as appropriate.
● Completes progress notes per COR guidelines within 24 hours of participant contact, ensuring the notes are part of the participant’s file, with the consent of the participant.
● Provides support to participants as they adjust to a new living environment, changing roles within the home system, family dynamics and conflicts. Documents and monitors as outlined by COR policies.
● Refers youth to appropriate resources, such as mental wellness support, educational and vocational supports, drug and alcohol treatment, and more.
● Provides or coordinates education and training to participants, host homes, and volunteers to enhance their understanding of needs, resources, and possible solutions to challenges that arise.
● Develops and maintains professional knowledge around supporting people in a low-barrier program, theories that apply to the work, and current interventions.
● Works proactively with the COR Volunteer Coordinator and Co-Directors.
● Implements care and services that recognize age-/identity-specific needs of participants served.
● Collaborates with the COR Finance & Fundraising Committee to develop reports on program outcomes.
● Collaborates with TWC staff, follows TWC staff guidelines especially regarding confidentiality of program participants, attends Bethel Housing and Homelessness Coalition (BHCC) meetings, and collaborates with BHCC members as needed.
● Performs other duties as required.

● Experience: Demonstrated clinical skills (such as critical thinking, crisis intervention, cultural awareness, active listening, goal setting, etcl.) required. Crisis intervention experience required. Two years of supervised experience working in youth-led services preferred. Relevant experience may include lived experience of houselessness.
● Licensure/Certification: Alaska LMSW or LCSW is preferred but not required. Must maintain current licensure for appropriate level of education.
● Other Qualifications: Must be knowledgeable of community resource systems. Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance according to AK State Motor Vehicle laws are required. Must have reliable transportation for local travel. Must be able to interpret verbal and non-verbal communication. Must have ability to process and provide feedback in a manner that is sensitive to cultural, linguistic, and psychological needs of participants, host homes, and volunteers.
● Education: Equivalent on-the-job experience (6+ years) or Master of Social Work degree preferred.
● Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
● Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Yupik speaker preferred.
