The Office of Admission is frequently the first point of contact for many students. We communicate with them to efficiently offer admission to the University and guide them through the steps to successfully begin their attendance. The Admissions Support Representative's primary role is to provide customer service by phone and in person in the Enrollment Services lobby as well as responding to email inquiries. They will also provide outreach to applicants for verifying admissions information and qualifications. Other duties may include but not limited to, participating in database analysis of admissions data, working with admissions documents and files, and verifying authenticity of said documents.

To thrive in this role successful candidates will demonstrate strong customer service, communication, organizational, and analytical skills. They will need attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume workload with accuracy and minimal supervision. They should be familiar with technology, comfortable working with databases, knowledgeable about FERPA and confidentiality, and able to collaborate effectively with students and campus partners. Office experience with customer service responsibilities is needed, university experience is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree or equivalent.

Bachelor degree is strongly preferred.

All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
