The University of Alaska Fairbanks Facilities Services Utilities Department is seeking an organized and dependable administrative professional to support operations at the UAF power plant. This position serves as a key administrative resource for the Utilities team, providing support in records management, regulatory documentation, purchasing, timekeeping, and daily office operations. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, accurate, and comfortable performing a variety of administrative and reception duties while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Strong judgment, problem-solving, time management, and follow-through are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively, take initiative, remain flexible, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School graduation and three years office/administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

An unrestricted Alaska driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving criteria is required.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, Term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/support/prospectiveemployees.php. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the https://www.alaska.edu/hr/benefits/compensation/salary.php, Grade 77, based on education and experience.
