Who We Are Seeking: We are seeking a compassionate, dependable professional who is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and achieve lasting recovery. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate, skilled at building trusting relationships, connecting participants with resources, and providing trauma-informed, strengths-based support. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the power of hope, healing, and cultural connection and is committed to helping individuals, families, and our community thrive.
Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate referrals, transportation, home visits, and recovery support services while collaborating with community partners to meet participant needs. Contribute to program development, outreach, and community education; maintain accurate, confidential records; and support grant reporting, compliance, and continuous program improvement.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position. CDC I certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment. This position is subject to random drug testing.
Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
