Who We Are Seeking: We are seeking a compassionate, dependable professional who is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use challenges and achieve lasting recovery. The ideal candidate is a strong advocate, skilled at building trusting relationships, connecting participants with resources, and providing trauma-informed, strengths-based support. Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate referrals, transportation, home visits, and recovery support services while collaborating with community partners to meet participant needs. Contribute to program development, outreach, and community education; maintain accurate, confidential records; and support grant reporting, compliance, and continuous program improvement.

 

Qualifications, Education & Experience: 

  • 1 to 2 years of case management, behavioral health, social services, recovery support, or related experience is required with 6-12 months of supervision experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health, Human Services, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and one to two additional years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships and work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and occasionally high-stress environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software and case management systems.

 

Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position. CDC I certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.

 

Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment. This position is subject to random drug testing.
