Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Senior Human Resources Generalist to serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership while supporting a wide range of human resources functions.

As a key member of the Human Resources team, you'll provide guidance on employee relations, recruitment, benefits, performance management, compliance, and organizational initiatives. We're looking for an experienced HR professional who is equally comfortable building relationships as they are providing trusted guidance to employees and leaders. In this role, you'll serve as a key resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership while helping shape a positive and engaged workplace culture. Required Qualifications

  • ·Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent directly related experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
  • Six (6) or more years of progressively responsible human resources experience, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employment law compliance.

As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will be a key partner to employees, supervisors, and leadership while helping attract, develop, and retain a talented workforce. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the employee experience, workplace culture, and organizational success by focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, and strategic HR support.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts by partnering with hiring managers and leaders to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, identify and attract qualified candidates, facilitate interviews, and guide the hiring process from posting to onboarding.
  • Champion a positive candidate experience by ensuring recruitment and onboarding processes are engaging, efficient, and reflective of the organization's culture and values.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and supervisors, providing guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, organizational policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and support the resolution of employee concerns with professionalism, fairness, and sound judgment.
  • Coach and support supervisors on performance management, employee development, conflict resolution, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Partner with HR team members and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, organizational policies, and HR best practices while helping maintain consistency and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a collaborative member of the HR team, contributing to special projects, organizational initiatives, departmental priorities, and providing backup support for benefits administration as needed.
